Retailers Bet On Big Boxing Day Sales as Shoppers Delay Belt Tightening

Looks like the rate rises haven't begun to flow through just yet...
...the crowds will probably still be there tomorrow.

Nothing like some media hype to help those struggling retailers in those big shopping centres. FOMO is real

Looking for an introduction to online Boxing betting - is this the right place?
Main Post:
I love watching Boxing/UFC, and would like to be able to bet $100-$200 on a particular match when I'm in the mood. Not really expecting or looking to make any profit from it, it would just be a fun thing to make me more invested in the match.
Are there any sites people here recommend for a complete betting novice? Trying to find a good site and understanding the odds/intricacies of placing a bet seems daunting without some guidance. Any insight is greatly appreciated, thank you!

There's usually a boxing betting thread at least once per week here on r/sportsbook with people posting bets and discussion in anticipation of whatever significant weekday or weekend bouts that are coming up. We also have good discussion in the UFC/Boxing channel in the Discord chat linked in sidebar.

Best site to bet on boxing?

Tried this thread earlier and failed due to a typo. What's a good site to lay some $$$ down on fights?

I did it for awhile, turned 100 into about 800. You can lose on real stupid shit and crazy unlikely outcomes though, I remember losing a decent portion when Kermit Cintron decided to break his neck against Paul Williams. It can be easy to make money if you know how to analyze a fighter from out of the box perspectives. Alot of the people who place bets are just fans that have an emotional siding with a fighter so sometimes you will see odds that are to difficult to not pass up. 5dimes is what I used.
Legal gamblers of r/boxing: For anyone willing to share, how much % gain do you see over a period of a year?
Main Post:
I've followed boxing for a while now and since I live in NJ (legal sportsbook state) I've been getting more into legally betting on fights, and have already made some decent money just betting on likely outcomes (Bud KOing Khan for example).
I want to see if it's possible to scale this up, and am wondering if it's sustainable to see something like a 20-40% ROI over the course of a year if I say exclusively bet on popular outcomes (-500 to -120 odds).
Obviously there's the inherent risk of upsets involved, but I'm wondering if investing in let's say a diverse basket of noncompetitive fights involving P4P fighters of the course of a year could be a much riskier (and more profitable in the short term) version of investing in the S&P 500.
Anyone on here have experience with using boxing betting as a reliable source of side-income? All thoughts are welcome.
Top Comment: I used to bet on a lot of sports. I'd always make the most on boxing. But too many bs decisions which makes it such a risk. It can make a fight even more fun though. I always think if you gamble seriously for return it's pretty much another job. You have to research, look at so many variables and put a lot into it.
Best Site for Boxing

I’m in PA. What site is the best for posting the undercard bouts. Parx used to post a ton of them but then cut back. Lucky if they post two fights per card now.

I definitely recommend Bovada. Didn't have any issues when I used them.
Question about boxing betting lines.
Main Post:
If there is a line tthis is "over 7 rounds" when would you get paid? Would you get paid if the fight ended in the 7th round?
Also if you bet on the "over 7 rounds" would you get paid if the fight goes to decision. I think the answer is yes but I'm not sure.
And if the answer is yes that poses another question. Let's say that decision bet is +160, but the "over 7 rounds" bet is +150. Wouldn't it be a safer bet to just bet the over 7 rounds? Because that gives you more leeway if the fight is called or there is knockout before the decision.

Its possible that the book believes if it goes to 7 rounds its likely that the match will go the full length. From the odds you are quoting (if they are real) it sounds like two fighters that will gas quickly and are likely to make a knockout within the first few rounds but if they don't they'll end up fighting until decision. Its really your call on this but they don't seem to be offering great odds for decision vs the over.
What is the best app for betting on boxing matches?
Main Post:
Draftkings has some of the big fights, but very little offered. Where can I bet on Holyfield this weekend? Or the PBC fights tonight?
Can't seem to find a good app. Thanks all!
